I'm not familiar with cruisers as much, but I know that thing is 50% heavier than the Shadow and has double the power. Author Topic: EXUP and Ivans ECU Flash (Read 1757 times) Pudge. I saw a Yamaha Raider, but I don't know if that's too much of a step from a Shadow. He put the stock map back on the original ECU, and flashed the modified map on the used ECU. I ended up buying a used one for about 70. It's good only one of us has this car/bike obsession otherwise we would have issues. I called and talked with Ivan and he was curious as he has never someone with that issue. The only other upgrade on my Hayabusa is a Brocks Alienhead full exhaust. After three years, he's like married to this Honda Shadow. Maat 4:53 PM I purchased Ivan’s ECU flash for my 2014 Hayabusa. I might keep the ZX6R for this summer, see if I can actually get some use out of it, and then decide, or I could sell it outright, or trade it toward something for my husband, but he doesn't seem to want another bike. I would wait a year and get a leftover 2016. If I did get a Ninja 650, the 2015's are going for 5k or so out the door, the new ones are 7k best I could find. I did test ride a Ninja 300, and the buzzing on that bike was truly annoying, not that this 650 is the 300, but it's my only other Kawi comparison. I ride the R3 if I feel like running something ragged, but other than that, it's always the FZ. Yamaha Road Star Raider Motorcycle Forum » Raider Categories ». You can't test ride anything and I could hate this bike considering how used I am to the power of our bike. The 650 was so much better than the ZX6R as far as comfort. I sat on one at the dealer today (and saw the new FZ-09 too!). A nice smile on your face when you test it and it cruises nice at 85 mph.Good points. Great combo match and you know exactly what you end up with. I haven't gotten any fuel mileage readings yet but will post them in the future as well as a pic. Both Cobra products were Made in USA and filter is permanent and cleanable. Like trading in your house cat for a cheetah. So, if Ivan develops a flash for the 14, you could do a full exhaust (1000 to 1200) and the ECU flash (Im guessing around 300) and have a completely different animal on your hands. I did this Exact Mod on my formerly stock 2014 Vstar 1300 and it is exceptional! Is slightly louder and can feel the power a cross the entire range but mid range to higher RPMs you notice it the most. Ill hold off calling Ivan until after summer at the earliest. No reason to guess other combo's on the 1300 VStar or you are trying to reinvent the wheel and aren't sure if it will be round or what you end up with. Here is my review of Ivans ECU flash for the FZ-09 which I have been running for about 3000 miles. With his Flash of ECU, the Cobra slip On and Cobra Powr Pro it jumps up to 86 HP (+13.5 HP) and 92.Ĩ Trq (+12 TRQ). Using the stock airbox and our filter kit releases another 3. This bike responds very well to increased airflow by reducing the intake restriction. Stock the 1300 Vstar makes 72.5 Hp and has 80.8 Trq which is actually really good for the engine size. Yamaha Raider - Ivans Airbox kit photos The stock airbox on this bike is pretty restrictive although it does a pretty good job of keeping things quiet. He flashes the ECU to match the Cobra Slip on muffler (06-0245) and the Cobra Powr Pro Air Intake. He did the research and the dyno work and tested numerous air intake/exhaust combos. First Do Not Buy a Fuel System Manager! He has you unplug it as well as the O2 exhaust sensor. I did a ton of research before I decided to go with Ivan's Flash and the mods he suggested. I want to clear up the confusion with having Ivan's Flash for the 1300 Vstar.
